...when you've got brain freeze you just want to make something without thinking...
I saw these cards on the Sizzix blog and thought they were cute..in a good way.

I embossed the card first with a snow design from StampinUp

and then pretty much followed the instructions.

Oh Deer..

..My love affair with deer continues..A new look for an old musical ornament..The trees are from £1 store, they were dark green but a soaking in bleach did the trick.

I've since found how to make my own.. I'll share in a future post.

Does Anyone...

...Else remember this? I found this booklet in a salvage yard in Penrith, it was a real blast from the past. I remember using this to make flowers at my Grandmother's house when I was about 5 years old. I never knew what it was called, only that it came in sticks, it was glittery and you had to warm it in your hands to make it mouldable.

I think Glitterwax must have been at the very begining of my love of making stuff!

It was made by Cosmic Crayon Company...who after many takeovers are Crayola.

I think it should make a come back.Though I think the projects could do with an update.

Happy memories!

I Seem to be ....

... Smitten with these little deer...it's a digi kit form Daisy Trail, I just love the retro look... maybe a reminder of Babycham! Remember that stuff?

I've layered up the images in a small wooden box dipped in glitter.

Added some snowballs and Snowtex ( love that stuff)

Stood them on little easels.

And made a Santa too!

.. Christmasy crafting...These mini canvases are around 3x5 centimeters..

Painted with Viva Croco crackle paint..it had gone mouldy in the jar!
I scraped it off and it worked just fine

The embellishments are bits and pieces of broken jewellery
